The Parkinson Association of Greater Daytona Beach holds monthly meetings, which include a variety of topics, programs, speakers and presentations. While the topics of our monthly meetings are different and unique, there will always familiar faces at each meeting.

If you are a new member of our organization, our monthly meetings are a great way to meet others in the community who have PD or other movement disorders, and caregivers of someone with PD or other movement disorders. We encourage new members to join us at our meetings to meet our members, our staff and to learn new information about Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders.

Special event - Introducing Neurologist & Movement Disorder Specialist Dr. Mays Al-Ani

It’s a well-known fact: If you have Parkinson’s disease; to receive the highest quality most comprehensive healthcare, it is highly recommended that you seek out and have a Movement Disorder Specialist (MDS) as an integral part of your healthcare team.

Easier said than done! Turns out that there are very few MDS’ in the United States, and the emergence of neurological movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease has placed a much greater demand on this type of neurologist.

Enter - Dr. Mays Al-Alani – one of Volusia counties newest Neurologist, and possibly its only Movement Disorder Specialist*

Please plan on joining us for this Special Event and meet Dr. Mays Al-Ani who’ll discuss what an MDS does, what her clinic in DeLand provides for their Parkinson’s patients, and how to set an appointment with her clinic. There will be an ample Q&A segment for attendees to ask questions of Dr. Al-Ani which will be followed by interaction and refreshments.

  • Woodmark Pacifica (formerly Bishop’s Glen) is located at 900 LPGA Blvd. Holly Hill, FL 32117.

    Parking

    There are at least 35 additional parking spots that are conveniently located at the northeast corner behind the Save-A-Lot plaza which is adjacent to Woodmark Pacifica. 

    To Access this Parking Area

    If you're heading westbound on LPGA (from US 1) - go past the Woodmark Pacifica entrance by approximately 50 feet and there will be a driveway that runs behind the Save-A-Lot plaza buildings - turn RIGHT onto this driveway and take it until it ends and you will find all the additional parking. 

    If you are coming westbound on LPGA (from Nova Rd.) toward Woodmark - you will simply pass the big entrance into the Save-A-Lot plaza - and then you'll turn LEFT onto the driveway that runs behind the plaza - this Left turn will be just BEFORE you reach the Woodmark entrance.

    There is a small walk thru arbor that connects this parking area to the Woodmark parking lot conveniently located near the rear entrance of the building, where you can enter and be immediately be at the Auditorium without having to walk thru the front doors and lobby area. These spots are very welcome and convenient to use.

  • The Blake is located at 1635 N. Williamson Boulevard one block north of LPGA Blvd. and can be accessed from either Williamson Blvd. or Concierge Blvd.

    For those that may be traveling westbound on LPGA toward Williamson - Concierge Blvd. is approximately 1/8 of a mile east of Williamson Blvd., turn Right onto Concierge and go down one block and you can enter The Blake parking lot from the rear of the complex.
